Cabot's Quilt and July 11th Visit

First off, for those who might have been following the insulation discussion, I found a few good images of Cabot's Quilt on the photo site Flickr. The photographer's name is Alyssa Umsawasdi, and she took the photos while deconstructing her house back in 2007. Alyssa was nice enough to let me link to her images:

Secondly, I'd like to start coordinating details for those who are interested in visiting the Coffeehouse site on July 11th. I'd appreciate it if those who are so inclined could e-mail me at jmuse@cwf.org so that we can start working out the details.

"Cabot's Quilt"....very interesting. My (architectural) coleagues had a great time looking at the photos and talking about this form of insulation. Thanks for the added information. I responded, per your request, to the July11th site meeting. I'm all set to go and am so very much looking forward to the visit. I hope all you CCH bloggers can make it. This building is history in the making and It's been a privaledge to be a part of it!

Just to elaborate, the July 11th date doesn't coincide with any particular happenings at the Coffeehouse - it was just an arbitrary date suggested for a group visit by some of the more active commenters.

But if anyone is in town on that date, and is interested in stopping by, please shoot me an e-mail.

I visit the coffeehouse web cam almost every day and watch the progress with great interest. Over the last couple of days, what appears to be plastic sheeting has appeared in the south east room. What is it? What purpose will it serve?

While I'll need to verify if in person, I believe what we're seeing is the metal lathing that's going up in the southeast room. This lathing will provide the surface that the plaster is applied to.

I'll have to acquire a close-up photo in the next couple of days. Thanks for the question!
