Digital History Center
The Digital History Center (DHC), located in the John D. Rockefeller, Jr. Library, directs digital initiatives for
the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation's Research Division. Founded in 2002, the DHC uses innovative technologies to
engage the public in the continuing conversation about the American Revolution, citizenship, and
democracy. DHC staff employ technologies, such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Virtual Reality,
and XML, to create digital resources for studying and analyzing eighteenth-century Williamsburg.
