Denis Diderot's Encyclopédie (About this Database)
An English language index to the illustrations in three twentieth-century editions of Denis Diderot's l'Encyclopédie, ou Dictionnaire Raisonné des Sciences, des Arts et des Métiers was undertaken in the 1980s by Rachel Marks, a volunteer in the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation Library. The images are of interest to those who study the life and times of the eighteenth century.
