Janice McCoy Memorial Collection for Youth
A native
of Virginia, Janice McCoy valued books and reading. Her appreciation for the
printed word was shared with members of her family and with visitors to the
Geddy
House, where Janice served as an interpreter and teacher, until her untimely
death in 1996. The Janice McCoy Collection combines her love of literature
with her delight in all children.
A list of the books in the collection can be found on
the online
catalog through “Advance Search” on “Location”.
The collection reflects the focus of the research library via materials presented
in a format suitable for young people, pre-school through middle-school. Individuals
who contribute $25 or more may sponsor a book and also honor a particular child.
To sponsor a book click on the book
sponsorship form, print it out, and mail it to the address on the form with
