Special Collections
The Rockefeller Library’s Special Collections department houses the Foundation’s
most valuable manuscript material, architectural and archeaological drawings,
rare books and images. Current collecting policies focus on materials related
to the politics of the late eighteenth century, specifically the American Revolutionary
War. The photography archive of the Foundation, formerly in the Visual Resources
Department, has been incorporated into the Special Collections Department. Materials
held by Special Collections are integral to the Digital History Center's The
American Revolution.
