Use of the Visual Resources Collection requires assistance from department staff. To schedule a visit, please contact the Visual Resources Editorial Librarian several days in advance at:

Rights & Reproductions and Reference Services

Photo-duplication: Duplicates of prints and slides can be made when there are no restrictions on duplication of the image. Printouts, computer files, and/or photo-duplication of online and archival images are available on request. Turn-around times for photo-duplication may vary; Estimated completion date and price quotes are available upon request.

Photo Editorial Services: Photo Editorial Services are available on request to authors and publishers who wish to use images from Visual Resources. Requests to publish images must be submitted in written form by either letter, email or fax. A fee schedule is available for both North American and World rights. Multimedia and Internet uses of images are subject to licensing, and may require special negotiations.

Unauthorized use of images from the Visual Resources Collections of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation may be an infringement of copyright and subject to legal action.
