James Anderson, Virginia’s Public Armourer for nearly a decade, owns most of the eastern half of this block. He lives in the house at the southeast corner and operates his blacksmithing business in the building behind his residence. He has previously rented out his western lot to a tavernkeeper.
As the Public Armourer, Anderson also manages the production and maintenance of weapons at the Magazine in the center of town. However, the building is insufficient for wartime mobilization. If independence is declared, Anderson knows that he will need to expand his operation significantly in order to meet the demands that war will surely bring.
